Transport Order
Overview
Transport Order is the initial booking document created from a Sales Quote or manually entered. It represents a customer's request for transport services and contains all the details needed to execute the transport operation.
Key Fields
Basic Information
- Customer: The customer placing the order (required)
- Booking Date: Date when the order was placed (required)
- Customer Ref No: Customer's reference number
- Scheduled Date: Planned execution date for the transport
Transport Details
- Transport Template: Predefined leg plan template (optional)
- Transport Job Type:
- Container
- Non-Container
- Special
- Oversized
- Multimodal
- Heavy Haul (required)
- Vehicle Type: Type of vehicle required
- Load Type: Type of cargo being transported
- Container Type: Required if Transport Job Type is Container
- Container No: Container number if applicable
- Hazardous: Check if cargo is hazardous
- Refrigeration: Check if refrigeration is required

- Location Type: Type of location (UNLOCO, Transport Zone, etc.)
- Location From: Origin location
- Location To: Destination location

- Packages: Child table with package details
- Weight, volume, quantity
- Package type and description
Leg Plan
- Legs: Child table defining transport legs
- Facility Type From/To
- Pick/Drop addresses
- Pick/Drop modes
- Time windows
Charges
- Charges: Child table with transport charges
- Charge type
- Rate
- Amount
Accounts
- Company: Company for accounting (required)
- Branch: Branch for accounting (required)
- Cost Center: Cost center for accounting (required)
- Profit Center: Profit center for accounting (required)
- Sales Quote: Link to source Sales Quote
Workflow
Create Transport Order
- Create manually or from Sales Quote
- Enter customer and booking details
- Select transport job type and vehicle type
Select Transport Template (Optional)
- Select a Transport Template
- Click "Get Leg Plan" to auto-populate legs
- Customize legs as needed
Add Packages
- Add package details in Packages table
- Enter weight, volume, and quantity
Add Charges
- Add transport charges in Charges table
- Set rates and amounts
Submit Transport Order
- Review all details
- Submit the order
- Order is now ready for job creation
Create Transport Job
- Click "Create Transport Job" button
- System creates Transport Job from order
- Job is ready for execution
Creating from Sales Quote
Transport Orders can be created from Sales Quotes:
- Open Sales Quote
- Ensure quote is tagged as "One-Off"
- Click "Create Transport Order" button
- System creates Transport Order with details from quote
- Review and customize as needed
Field Mapping from Sales Quote: - Customer → Transport Order Customer - Transport Template → Transport Order Template - Vehicle Type → Transport Order Vehicle Type - Load Type → Transport Order Load Type - Company/Branch → Transport Order Company/Branch - Cost/Profit Center → Transport Order Cost/Profit Center
Using Transport Template
- Select Transport Template in Transport Order
- Click "Get Leg Plan" button
- System populates legs from template
- Review and customize legs as needed
- Update facility addresses and time windows
Status
Transport Order is a submittable document: - Draft: Initial state - Submitted: Ready for job creation
